COVID-19 Updates 7-28-21

 

1. Vaccinated people should wear masks indoors (1).  
2. Delta is being transmitted fairly well by vaccinated and infected people. 
3. Case and Hospitalization rates in areas with low vaccination rates are going up, as are deaths. 
4. Fifty-six healthcare organizations (AMA, ANA...) have supported vaccine mandates for healthcare workers (2).
5. Vaccines still prevent severe disease.  
6. We have at least one local facility with 30-40 cases, ....proving that even the vaccinated can transmit.  
7. The vaccine dramatically reduces the severity of illness. 
8. Vaccines are safe and effective at preventing severe illness.
